An Air Force servicemember's spouse recently separated from him and brought their child to reside with her in Arizona. She has obtained an attorney and filed for divorce and custody in Arizona, misrepresenting the time period in which the child has been in Arizona in order to obtain UCCJEA jurisdiction there. The servicemember has documentation contradicting the residency allegations made in the wife's petition. He needs representation for the hearing to assert a challenge to jurisdiction in Arizona so that he may pursue a custody action in the proper home state. There is an upcoming hearing in this case.
