A Navy servicemember seeks pro bono help with collecting damages after the faulty construction of his home. The servicemember purchased a home built by a construction company who did not follow the building codes in building the homes in his area. The Sailor and other similarly situated residents filed a complaint with the Attorney General, and the construction company owes the residents damages. The construction company tried to use insurance money to pay the damages, but the insurance company has refused to pay the amount claiming it is not covered by their policy. The Sailor was recently served as an interested party in a lawsuit between the insurance company and the construction company. The Sailor seeks legal help to determine his options and how to collect damages.
