An Army servicemember seeks pro bono assistance with a landlord-tenant dispute. The servicemember attempted to pay pro-rata rent upon move in but could not get an answer from the property manager as to how to do this. She attempted to pay several times, but instead received late fees associated with this payment. She attempted to file suit regarding the late fee and the case was dismissed because she did not sue the property owners. Her toilet then flooded causing damage to the property, which the property manager failed to resolve. She then filed a tenant’s association claim against the property management company. Despite paying rent through the court, the property management company began sending pay or quit notices to the soldier. She seeks help in this dispute with the property management company.
