An Air Force servicemember seeks pro bono assistance with a child custody modification. The servicemember and her child’s father have an existing joint custody order. The servicemember just finished basic training, and they had an informal agreement that the child would like with the father full time while the servicemember was completing basic training. Now, the father will not allow the child to see the servicemember and will not allow the child to travel with the her mother when she receives military orders to relocate. The servicemember also recently learned that the child is living with the father’s wife on the weekdays, and only resides with him on the weekends. She seeks help to modify the existing custody order.
