A Navy servicemember seeks pro bono assistance with a probate matter. The sailor’s father recently passed away. Days before his passing, his father executed a new will that gave all his belongings to his wife of about two years and left nothing to his children. The sailor is suspicious of this, as the father’s health and mental capacity was rapidly deteriorating in the days before his death, and his father’s previous will included his children. The sailor seeks pro bono assistance to contest the will, and his stepmother is represented by counsel.
