A Navy servicemember seeks pro bono assistance with a child custody matter involving a potential Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) violation. The father of the sailor’s child recently obtained sole custody of their child without the sailor’s consent or knowledge by lying to the court and stating he could not locate the sailor. The child’s father now refuses to allow the sailor to see or speak to the child, and the sailor seeks assistance to restore her custody rights, as she previously had full custody of the child.
